    Bring a saucepan of water to the boil.

    Finely chop the garlic.

    Finely slice the red chillies.

  • 1.5 min

    Halve and juice the orange and limes.

  • 2.5 min

    Peel and chop the brown onion.

    In a bowl, add together the cumin, half of the garlic, red chilli, orange, lime and soy sauce. Mix well.

    Add the chicken to the marinade.

    Add the rice to the boiling water.

  • 10.5 min

    Heat half the olive oil in a pan over medium heat.

  • 11.5 min

    Add the chicken to the pan until cooked through, turning occasionally adding the honey over the chicken for the last few minutes (10mins).

    Heat the remaining olive oil over medium heat in a frying pan.

    Add the onion and remaining garlic to the pan and cook until softened.

    Add the black beans to the onion and cook until warmed through.

    Drain the rice.

    Add the rice to the onion and black bean mixture. Stir through.

    Distribute the black bean rice among serving bowls.

  • 25.0 min

    When the chicken is cooked through remove from the pan and serve alongside the rice.
